Dan Hubbard has taken a young boys dream and made it a reality. As founder of Creative Sports, he has provided a home for many riders in our family of BMX. He has lead this company by example, as a role model, an inspiration, and most of all, as a true friend!!!

Name: Dan Hubbard
Hometown: Orange, California
Been on Stuntteam: Since it's inception back in '86
Years riding: Lots!!!! (laughter)
First bike: Shwinn Sting-ray...RED!
Current bike: Specialized - 415 and an Axxis - Mutant
Favorite place to ride:
The Vans Skatepark in Orange, because of all the wedgies!

Why did you start riding bmx bikes?
My big brother, Greg, was a moto-x rider and I wanted to be one as well. My parents said 'no way!' and bought me a bicycle instead. It was my brother, Paul, who turned me onto bmx! I got hooked on BMX when I was 6 years old.

Did you ever imagine that you would be riding professionally?
I knew I wanted to someday, but I wasn't sure if I'd be able to do as much with my bike as I have. I used to watch shows with pros like Eddie Fiola and Todd Anderson and I would dream about doing the same. In the true sense of the question I was imagining this fom the time I was 9 years old. So I would have to say that doing what I do now is literally a dream come true.

When you are not riding your bike, how do you enjoy spending your time?
With my family, Lori and Grayson! I also play drums, and once in a while I play a game of pick up Ice hockey with my buddy Brian and his buddies at Oakley.

Some of the best times on tour happen before the show begins...Dan warming up with a picture perfect invert!

If you could tell someone reading this anything, what would it be?
This is a hard question because I have ALOT to say. Don't let the negative people around you determine the directionof your life. Listen to the ones who are there to help you. You might not see it now but they will have an enormously positive impact on your life.
Do your best to put your energy (even if it's negative) into a positive place. Surround yourself with people you respect. I could go on all day. Can I update this interview?

Is there anyone you would like to thank?
There's tons of people who have helped me in my life. This is another topic that could last forever.
My entire family for supporting my dream. My extended "adoptive" families who supported me while I was making the dream a reality. My sponsors over the past 15 years. All the riders who have inspired me over the years. And the riders I work with now who continue to inspire me more than they know. It is amazing how many people have helped me. You know who you are. Thank you.
